What this is
Crowdfunding means thousands of people around the world contributing, even with small amounts, to bring one shared project to life. W26 adopts the reward-based model: supporters don't merely make an idealistic gesture — they receive a tangible sign of belonging to the mission.
No large financier. No private interests. The project belongs to the people who make it possible.
Why W26 exists
For almost eighty years the UAP phenomenon has challenged humanity, yet the data remain fragmented, classified or scattered: archives at risk of oblivion, isolated research, filtered information.
True disclosure will not arrive as a concession from governments. It can only rise from the ground up — collective, independent, distributed. This is why W26 exists: to unite people, organisations and researchers from every country in a single free and transparent infrastructure.
Who leads it
Sociologist, aerospace journalist and former SETI consultant. He founded the Centro Ufologico Nazionale in 1967 and is today one of the very few internationally credible figures in the field.
Sixty years of rigorous research. Thirty-four books. Thousands of documented cases, and the foremost network of relationships in world ufology. His archive, unique of its kind, will become a heritage of humankind.
What we will do with the funds
01
Driving disclosure in every country and connecting organisations, scholars and citizens: one global community, in everyone's interest — institutions included.
02
Digitising and protecting the material of individuals and organisations, safeguarding legacies at risk, creating a multilingual international database and a digital library of long-unobtainable books.
03
UAP and non-human intelligences, ESP and states of consciousness, metamaterials, human-machine interaction, alternative propulsion and new technologies.
04
The creation of the W26 Roberto Pinotti Foundation, the construction of two research centres with an observatory, and a rapid-response task force on the phenomena.
The Convivium
Around the project stand three bodies that gather the people who make it credible: the researchers who guard the archives, the voices that carry it to the public, and the supporters who take part in its consultations.
Together they form the Convivium W26 and speak through the Responsa — numbered advisory opinions. They hold no decision-making power: every decision rests with the Committee.
Consilium Custodum
Figures of international standing in the field, appointed for life to numbered and closed seats.

The rewards
Every contribution carries a tangible sign of belonging. Each level includes everything below it.
Levels and rewards are those planned for the campaign launch and may be refined before opening.
Transparency
W26 is run by a Committee established under articles 39–42 of the Italian Civil Code. Under that law the funds raised are bound to the declared purpose: they cannot be diverted elsewhere.
The Committee holds every decision. Its treasurer is not a family member of the president, and an independent auditor oversees the accounts — a deliberate choice, made before the first euro was raised.
